Join Alberta Food Tours’ guide and Edmonton Journal writer, Liane Faulder for this sumptuous taste of the food and culture of Northern Thailand. Thirteen nights of luxurious accommodation, 38 meals and all transportation in-country are included on this fully guided tour. Liane Faulder is an award-winning journalist, book author and playwright who has previously led an edible escape trip to Chicago for Alberta Food Tours. She’s led other culinary trips to Portland, Oregon, Spain, New York City and New Orleans and has traveled extensively in South Asia on her own. Liane’s bubbly personality and passion for people and culture will set a delightful tone for this lucky group’s exploration of Thailand.
Look forward to exploring Bangkok’s floating markets and cooking schools for the first week. Then, this small group of 16 guests will head north to Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai. Here you’ll visit an Elephant sanctuary, enjoy the peaceful country side, explore glorious temples and of course, cook with locals and enjoy the famous flavours of this region.
