It’s 2020 and Alberta Food Tours is proud to be in our 15th year of operations. And to celebrate this achievement, we have lots of new things coming down the pike to celebrate with our beloved community this year. You can expect 15 fun contests, new team members, new opportunities to travel abroad and the same passion for all things Alberta.
Starting with Valentine’s we’ll be popping up throughout 2020 with 15 different contests to celebrate our 15 years. Expect prizes like tour packages, dinners and one-of-a-kind experiences. Want to learn about bee-keeping with our president Karen Anderson? Have a hankering to gather with a small group of like-minded Alberta food lovers for private cooking lessons, coffee dates, cupcakes, picnics and more? We’ll be sharing all this and more this year.
New team members
We are proud to have great team retention at Alberta Food Tours but we’ve hired a few new local expert guides in Edmonton, Banff and Calgary for this season. Seasoned hospitality, public relations and culinary experts, we know you are going to love them as much as we do. Industry insiders, they come with passion for Alberta and our taste of place. They also love meeting people from all over the world. We’ll be introducing them in the months to come as well as providing updates on our long-standing team. The human potential of our Alberta Food Tours team is impressive and we are excited to share what rocks their world.
New opportunities to travel at home and abroad
We not only provide great experiences for inbound visitors to Alberta, we also organize incredible Edible Escapes across Alberta and around the world. In September of this year, we are leading a 3-night, 4-day road trip called Secrets of Southern Alberta. It’s all about people, places and Alberta produce that you could not access on your own.
Only through our connections, can you go behind-the-scenes at a soon to be famous Alberta prosciutto factory. Have a fantasy of moseying on up to a century old cattle ranch? We can make that happen. Crave an adventure paddling down the Red Deer River, snacking on local charcuterie and cheese? We’ve got just the expedition. Want to come within inches of a herd of wild bison? Consider it done. This and so many other adventures are part of this jam-packed road trip.
When it comes to overseas trips, our October, 2020 Ancient Tastes and Temples tour of South India is sold out but, we’ve got a bucket list destination coming for March of 2021.
