Where to get holiday baking in Alberta

Here’s our list of where to get your holiday baking this year. This is another great way to Eat Alberta First. 

Even better yet, you can join our Brunch and Bakery Bus tours this season to hit up some of these bakeries and get all your holiday baking done in one day.  Edmonton is sold out but there are still a few seats on November 23 and 30 tours in Calgary.  Check that out here. 

Edmonton

Bon Ton Bakery has been baking from scratch in Edmonton since 1956.  There isn’t a bad cookie in the shop.

The Art of Cake is more than just beautifully delicious cakes. 

When we think of holiday cookies, we think of the gingersnaps at Sugared and Spiced Baked Goods.

There is so much passion in every bit of baking at the Better Baker.

Duchess Bake Shop.  Get your order in early. Recognized as one of the best bakeries in the world. There is nothing more to say.

Calgary 

With 30 years of experience, Decadent Brulee is the spot for holiday squares, Linzer cookies and yule logs. 

Yum Bakery is so good they are on our monthly Calgary Farmers’ Market Tours. 

We know Crave Cookies and Cupcakes is famously delicious for its cupcakes, but during the holidays, they also bake up the best squares and cookies.

It’s a taste of France at by Ollia Macarons and Tea, and we love it. Watch for their Brittany Salted Caramel Sauce.

Since 1963, Edelweiss Village has been bringing us quality European flavours. This is one of Karen’s favourite stocking stuffer stops.

Pretty Sweet Bakeshop makes the prettiest of sugar cookies for the little (and big) ones in your life.

Dolce Veloce’s  beautiful Italian sweet treats are available at Holt Renfrew and both Mercato locations. 

There is no other cinnamon bun like a Sidewalk Citizen cinnamon bun. Get on their order list for holiday goodies early.  

Manuel Latruwe has the best yule logs and more for your holiday table.

The Bow Valley
