Wondering where to take your pooch in Alberta to enjoy the patio weather? Good news! Our dog-loving team has rounded up some of their favourites. So, here’s our list of the best dog-friendly patios around the province.

CALGARY

  1. Put on your dog’s best bandana for an evening at Oxbow Restaurant in Calgary’s Kensington.  Located in the Hotel Arts, you can dine on top-notch food and drinks in the company of your furry friend on their luxurious patio.
  2. At Vin Room, dog-friendly amenities include dog beds, furniture, and hydration stations. They also have a three-course tasting menu in collaboration with Bon A-Pet-Treat! Pet Bakery. 
  3. Calgary’s Cold Garden may be the most pet-friendly brewery in Calgary. It is not dog-friendly, but it welcomes pets of all sizes. They offer treats and water dishes and have a designated spot for pets to do their business. 
  4. All FIVE Village Ice Cream locations in Calgary annually celebrate the #dogsofthevillage. On July 20th, participating Village Ice Cream Locations will have a launch party for their pup-friendly flavour – carrots and cream – with an all-out Doggie Party.  
  5. All seven of Una Pizza + Wine‘s patios are dog-friendly. There are now four locations in Calgary, one in Edmonton, one in Banff, and one in Saskatoon. 

EDMONTON

  1. You and your pup can enjoy the music patio series at Cafe Bicyclette in Edmonton every Thursday night this summer. 
  2. The Next Act Pub has a large, shady patio where you and Fido can enjoy a burger and a local beer on a sunny afternoon.  
  3. Take Care Cafe has lovely courtyard seating for you and your pooch to enjoy a weekend coffee. Better yet, at Take Care Cafe, you can bring your dog inside with a bonus dog treat. 
  4. At Alley Kat Brewing, the dogs are welcome in the taproom and patio.  Your pup can make new friends with the rest of the Kat Krew dogs,  

BOW VALLEY

  1. Canmore’s The Wood Restaurant has a Rocky Mountain view dog-friendly patio that is open year-round. 
  2. Three Bears Brewery & Restaurant in Banff has a heated patio that is open year-round.  There is even a small dog menu!
  3. At Canmore’s Tank 310 the Grizzly Paw Brewery features a lush outdoor space with awesome views, dubbed the Grizzly BBQ Beer Garden. You and your furry companion can indulge in a classic Tank Burger with a Grizzly Paw beer brewed only steps away.
